My name is Constance Brenneman, director of Pursuit of an Afterlife. My friend and producer, Susan Brittain, and I were talking about how fascinating we found the culminating factors of phenomenal end-of-life experiences. Then, the idea to make a documentary exploring the science and the stories behind these experiences was born!
 

Pursuit of an Afterlife explores near-death experiences (NDEs) and shared-death experiences (SDEs) through powerful firsthand accounts and compelling interviews with renowned experts Dr. Raymond Moody and William Peters. Moody and Peters are two of the preeminent researchers in the space of near-death and shared-death studies. They each have decades of experience to share, and they have sold millions of copies of their books relaying their research and experiences.
 

We have partnered with the Coming Home Channel to meld in the heartfelt experiences by individuals who have personally had these encounters. The Coming Home Channel is another excellent resource for exploring Near Death Experiences.
 

In order to create flow and dynamism in the film, we worked with a professional modern dance company that created unique dances to align with prose, stories, and interview segments. Lastly, animation is used to depict phenomenal SDE and NDE’s as they have been documented for hundreds of years around the world.
